In this article, I will talk about the facilities in my university campus where I study as an Erasmus student.
There are several UWS campus in the UK, the one we are talking about is based in Paisley.
- Student union -
First of all, let's talk about the Student Union. It's a place next to the university where you can enjoy some activities during the week. You can use your free time around a play of pool or, drinks, foods and games. More, during the year the Student Union offers some theme party such as Karaoke parties, Bingo, or Quiz. You can also celebrate most of the events here (Valentine's Day, New year's eve, etc...). I actually really like this place, it's a good atmosphere to have fun and to decompress. More, at the beginning of the year, a "Freshers Week" were organised to permit the new students to met students between each others. As you can see on the photo, it was the first party of the Freshers Week, all the participants had to wear the white t-shirt given by the stuff of the Student Union. The aim of this party was to write our name and our study on the back of the t-shirt, and so it was perfect to meet new person.
- Gym-
Secondly, you can find a free Fitness room in the same building as the Student Union. I use to go there during the week to have a break from studies and to keep an healthy way of life. You can find the main equipments (bodybuilding machines, treadmill, bicycle, elliptical trainer, etc...) and share a good moment with your friends or just with yourself. I chose to practice this but a lot of different kind of sports are available near the campus such as Badminton, Basketball, American football, Cheerleading, Golf etc... So, let's do it! 💪
- Study spaces -
UWS offers several different study spaces, those are perfect places to go for the people who struggle to study at home, more, a library with a large choice of books is accessible. On the photo above you can see one of my favourite study spaces: "The crannie". It's a perfect place with modern ambiance to feel good and be inspired. More, the crannie is opening 24/7 for the student who need to completed a late deadline during the night.
